Hard-nosed linebacker favors State?
Michigan State hosted a 1-day camp last Friday and one of the players that the Spartan staff played close attention to was Linebacker Luke Kelly of Turpin High School in Ohio. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound linebacker was hoping a strong performance would put him on the list of players the staff is looking to offer. We spoke with Kelly last night about his camp performance and his recruitment.
Kelly said he measured in at the Spartan camp at 6-foot-4, 210-pouinds, He said he ran the 40-yards dash in 4.69 seconds, had a 30 inch vertical jump and ad did 16 reps of 225-pounds.
Kelly has a solid list of offers at this point in time. As of speaking with him last night, he held offers from Kent State, Western Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Akron and Eastern Michigan. He also is hearing from West Virginia, Cincinnati and Indiana.
